Summerfest Grounds Tour & Ice Cream

Summerfest, known as "The World's Largest Music Festival", has its roots in Mayor Henry Maier's vision of a large-scale, international festival for Milwaukee, inspired by Oktoberfest. The first Summerfest was held in 1968, spread across 35 different locations. The Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee have a history rooted in the city's lakefront development and its transition from an airport to a prominent festival site. Join us for an afternoon of learning about its history along with touring behind the scenes of the amphitheater! After the tour we will walk to Ben and Jerry's to get ice cream for those who wish to join!
